RIMC Dehradun Admission 2013| Rashtriya Indian Military College Admission

 

RIMC or Rashtriya Indian Military College is one of the Premier Institutes dedicated to defence services in India. It is an Inter-Services Institute and a Category ‘A’ establishment of the Ministry of Defence alongside NDA Khadakvasla, OTA Chennai and IMA Dehradun. The education environment at RIMC ensures the high pass rate for the selection of its students towards the institutes like National Defence Academy (NDA), Indian Military Academy (IMA) and Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC).

RIMC Dehradun Admission – Entrance Test

Students seeking admission to RIMC Dehradun, are required to appear for an All India Entrance Examination. To apply for the examination you can request for a prospectus by paying Rs. 450 through a Demand Draft. The DD should be in favour of “The Commandant, RIMC Dehradun – 248003″. However, the examination for January 2014 batch has already taken place on June 1st and 2nd. Students can still apply for the admission to July 2014 batch, whose examination will be held in December 2013.

 Eligibility Criteria For Admission To RIMC Dehradun

Students seeking admission to RIMC should satisfy the following conditions:

1. The student should be studying in or have passed class VII from a recognized school.

2. Age limit of 11.5 yrs to 13 yrs  as on January 1st or July 1st of 2013 should be satisfied.

RIMC Dehradun Admission – Examination Scheme OR Selection Procedure

The All India Entrance Exam for RIMC will test the students in three different subjects namely, English, Mathematics and G.K. The students will be tested for each of these subjects through three individual papers. This written examination is followed by an interview which test the intelligence and personality of the students. Only those students proceed to the interview, who have cleared the written examination.

Note: Interview for the candidates applying for January 2014 batch will be conducted on October 7th 2013. Students will be informed of the venue by their respective States in early September 2013.

Students obtaining a minimum of 50% marks in each of the written examination as well as in the interview, can appear for the medical test. This is the final exam in which students are tested for their medical fitness. Those found medically fit are approved for admission to RIMC Dehradun.
